Live dogfooded — building apps while building itself

Forge Real Apps.
From Plain English.

DaForgeLayer-AI is a governed AI Workbench that turns plain-English ideas into plans, specialized agent workflows, high-end UX, and fully built applications.

Command the forge. Shape the app.

What DaForgeLayer does

From a sentence to a shipped app — governed the whole way.

You stay in plain English. The Workbench handles the interview, the plan, the agents, the design, the build, the review — and learns from every step.

01

Tell it what you want

Describe the app, the audience, and the outcome in everyday language. No specs required.

02

It interviews you

A guided build interview asks the right questions and detects the pieces you didn't think of.

03

It drafts the plan

Requirements, architecture, workflows, and safe implementation steps.

04

It routes to agents & lanes

Research, UX, coding, QA, security, and ops work is dispatched to specialized lanes.

05

It designs the UX

High-end, custom interfaces built from visual systems we teach the AI — not generic forms.

06

It connects tools & repos

Wire in repositories, APIs, plugins, CLIs, and services so the build works with your stack.

07

It builds, tests & reviews

Code, validation, review, and evidence capture — with operator gates on anything risky.

08

It learns as it goes

Governed knowledge, memory, and KB systems compound lessons across every build.

09

It evolves with you

Create new skills and workflows that become reusable operating recipes over time.

Guided build interview

It asks the right questions before it builds.

The Workbench interviews you in plain English, detects the pieces you didn't think of, and turns a rough idea into a build-ready plan — scope, structure, and steps.

Specialized agents + lanes

One workbench, a whole team of agents.

Pepper switches roles and coordinates specialized agent lanes — each one focused on a part of the build, working in parallel and handing off cleanly.

Governance + evidence

Governance-first. Nothing runs unsupervised.

DaForgeLayer is built so you stay in control. Risky actions wait for approval, every step returns evidence, and nothing is marked done that isn't.

  • Approvals before anything risky runs
  • Safe execution controls on dangerous actions
  • Evidence returned for every step
  • Source-of-truth maps you can inspect
  • Review gates between stages
  • Route & provenance tracking
  • Operator control kept in your hands
  • No hidden automation, no fake completion

Pepper workspace

A Director console you can actually watch.

An expanded workspace with agent-lane visibility, handoff packets, readiness and evidence tracking, and a governed execution posture — see exactly what's happening as it happens.

More of what it does

A full forge, not a single tool.

High-end UX system

Teach the Workbench a visual system and it builds polished interfaces — not generic forms.

Connect any repo

Inspect and work with existing repos and projects while preserving boundaries and source-of-truth.

Skills + workflows

Create reusable skills and workflows that chain tasks, route to agents, and become operating recipes.

Memory + knowledge

Governed learning with source provenance, capture, memory boundaries, and recovery awareness — no uncontrolled drift.

HiveMind ecosystem

Apps, agents, workflows, patterns, and lessons can improve across the ecosystem over time.

Own the Workbench

Eventually run your own Workbench instance, connect your tools, and grow your own app ecosystem.

Apps built with DaForgeLayer

Real and planned apps, forged the same way.

Featured app

CalFEL — California Felony Exposure

A mobile-first legal exposure triage app built through the Workbench process. It estimates California felony exposure ranges from entered charges or complaint scans, keeps data on-device, and shows its sources and provenance.

Not legal advice — an estimation and triage tool.

DaForgeLayer-AI Workbench Live

The governed AI workbench itself — dogfooded daily, building apps while building itself.

Knowledge Library / Research System Planned

A governed research and knowledge system with provenance and capture built in.

AI Commerce Studio Planned

A planned storefront/commerce build assembled through the Workbench process.

Custom Business App Planned

Your idea — interviewed, planned, designed, built, and reviewed end to end.

Live dogfooding

We used DaForgeLayer to forge DaForgeLayer.

This site started with two design skills and a plain-English brief. The first pass proved the direction — but it looked generic. So the Workbench OS did what it's built to do: review, adapt, govern, and refine.

It pulled the skills into our process, corrected the visual system, generated better forge assets, wrapped content in black glass, validated every change in the browser, and turned a generic AI landing page into a branded Workbench showcase.

  • Skills became raw capability — the OS made them a governed build process
  • Forge assets generated and validated, not stock-pulled
  • Every change browser-verified before it shipped
  • Guided, evidence-backed iteration — not blind automation
